This piece is called “Quilted Sketchbook”, and is quilted linen canvas, black gesso and 23k. gold leaf. In 2018 I had a residency in Budapest. I found a roll of linen canvas that was 12” tall x 20 feet long. Everyday I would paint 1 square foot of the art I saw or that inspired me. When I got back home, I cut up the canvas and then quilted it together into this composition. I love how it turned out! This piece is available and would be quite a conversation piece in your home.
